Google's Find My Device network is expanding to eufy Bluetooth devices, allowing Android users to locate devices using Bluetooth signals from billions of active Android devices.
The Bluetooth device company announced that its SmartTrack Link and SmartTrack Card devices will soon be relaunched with Find My Device network compatibility.
According to the Andriod Police report on Saturday, both the SmartTrack Link and SmartTrack Card are currently among the most affordable trackers on the market, priced at just $19.99 and $29.99 respectively.
It remains unclear whether the pricing will remain the same for the new versions with Find My Device network support, as eufy has not disclosed any pricing details in its announcement.
Nevertheless, the addition of eufy to the Find My Device network ecosystem is a welcome development. Pebblebee and Chipolo are among the other prominent names already committed to launching trackers compatible with the network, showcasing the growing support for this technology.
Meanwhile, Google itself has been working on its own tracker, codenamed "grogu," which could potentially launch at any time, possibly even during the upcoming Google I/O event starting on May 14.
However, not all major players in the Bluetooth tracker market are embracing the Find My Device network. Tile, a leading brand in the industry, has confirmed that it currently has no plans to introduce an FMDN tracker. Therefore, consumers waiting for a Tile-branded solution may need to consider alternatives.
