بواسطة Samuel O . Adeniyi 15 نوفمبر 2023 0

Nineteen unions have complied with indefinite the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) nationwide strike.

The strike, which began on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, is in protest of the Federal Government's failure to address issues affecting workers, such as the minimum wage, insecurity, corruption, and poor governance.

The unions' decision to join the strike comes after a meeting of the National Executive Council of the labor unions on November 13, 2023, in Abuja.

At the meeting, the unions resolved to embark on the strike over the alleged brutalization of NLC President, Mr Joe Ajaero, and other members of the labor unions during a recent crisis in Imo State.
