Threads Launches Bonus Program for Creators

Meta's Threads social network has surpassed 150 million monthly users, and the company is ramping up efforts to boost engagement with a new limited-time bonus program.

The program is invite-only for creators in the U.S., with individualized requirements tailored to each participant.

According to Meta's Instagram Support Page on Monday, creators invited to the program will need to meet specific criteria outlined in the Instagram creator incentive terms and rules.

Parameters for receiving bonuses include the performance of Threads' posts, with factors such as views and the number of posts taken into account.

Guidelines specify that eligible posts must receive a minimum of 2,500 views and must not contain copyrighted material, lack text, or have boosted views.

Additionally, posts with watermarks from other platforms like TikTok or YouTube or those involving brand partnerships are ineligible.

Creators can track their earnings through the professional dashboard and must meet a minimum threshold to receive payouts.

Meta emphasizes that failing to reach this threshold won't result in a bonus payout, but creators may be considered for future opportunities.

This initiative aims to encourage Instagram users with significant followings to post more on Threads, potentially attracting their followers to the platform.
