The Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) has played a crucial role in optimizing the arrival process for pilgrims this year through the use of data and artificial intelligence technologies.
The agency invested in improving the technical infrastructure at 14 air, sea, and land ports across the Kingdom.
SDAIA utilized artificial intelligence to strengthen its data analysis and predictive capabilities, working with government agencies to ensure reliable communication circuits and assembling a dedicated national technical team for the Hajj season.
The organization's initiatives are supported by Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, aligning with the goals of Vision 2030 to enhance the use of data and AI technologies for the benefit of pilgrims.
SDAIA also provided a tech boost to the Kingdom's border crossings, sorting centres, and security control centres by implementing new systems, services, and tools to improve efficiency.
Additionally, they established a special tech support room for this year's Hajj and equipped teams at all ports with mobile tech kits for quick issue resolution.
SDAIA also ensured that all workstations and network equipment in the Hajj halls at the ports were maintained and updated, and installed biometric scanners at the Kingdom's border crossings.
