The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reported that it has withheld the results of 39,834 candidates out of more than 1.9 million who participated in the recently concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Additionally, 80 individuals across the nation are currently being questioned in connection with examination fraud, with Anambra State having the highest number of suspects at 14.
In a statement made on Friday during the official release of the 2025 UTME results, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, revealed that 41,000 underaged candidates registered for the examination, out of which 467 achieved the minimum required score, and 50 were involved in a cheating incident.
