The director and head of business development and commercial services of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has started that the commission relies on the World Bank's Nigeria Digital Identification for Development (ID4D) project to compensate frontend partners (FEPs).
She made this statement during a roundtable with online publishers in Abuja, explaining that the delay in receiving funds from the World Bank has affected payments to FEPs.
Despite this, she expressed optimism that payments would commence soon as the final project conditions are met.
The World Bank has disbursed $45.5 million, representing 10.5% of the total project cost, but full disbursement is contingent on the fulfillment of three conditions, with two already met.
