The Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN) has provided training in experiential marketing to communication students from the University of Ibadan as part of its efforts to bridge the gap between academia and industry and cultivate the future workforce.
The President of EXMAN, Tolulope Medebem, mentioned that the association engaged the students during its 11th annual general meeting in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Medebem also expressed the association's vision to nurture talent within the experiential marketing sector, close the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, and shape the industry's future workforce.
At the AGM, Medebem and the Vice President Angela Makinwa addressed the challenges in the marketing industry and country in 2023, emphasizing the current administration's efforts to ensure members have sustainable careers.
Makinwa further explained the association's executive mission, which focuses on Training and Thought Leadership, Harmony, Relationship, Inclusiveness, Value, and Engagement (THRIVE).
Additionally, he highlighted EXMAN's training initiatives, including a partnership with the Lagos Business School, and the launch of an Experiential Marketing Management Programme aimed at increasing knowledge and awareness in this field.
The inaugural programme hosted 42 participants, 37 of whom were EXMAN members, and inducted eight experiential marketing agencies into the association.
