Anita Alaire Afoke Asuoha, also known as Real Warri Pikin, is a chubby Nigerian stand-up comedian who recently revealed her near-suicide attempt in 2018.
Asuoha revealed she had suicidal thoughts in 2018 after her husband, Ikechukwu Asuoha, experienced financial issues during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo on her mental health.
She stated: "My husband and I experienced financial difficulties in 2017 and 2018." I tried to kill myself on June 6, 2018, but I survived because of our debt and other factors."
The mother of three remarked that God spared her life so that she can inspire those around her who might be suffering through similar circumstances.
"I said, 'God, you see this is my story, I will use it to help others.'" It implies that God didn't want me to pass away at that time because He wanted me to use the narrative to benefit those around me rather than keep it to myself," the comedienne continued.
