The World Health Organization (WHO) has denounced the Somalian attack that claimed 16 lives, including members of its staff.
The attack on the Pearl Beach Hotel and Restaurant in Mogadishu, the nation's capital, on Friday, resulted in at least 10 further injuries.
According to accounts, the event featured armed perpetrators and lasted for many hours.
The WHO said it will continue efforts to maintain health and respond to emergencies in Somalia in a statement released on Monday by Malik Mamunur, it's representative in Somalia.
The UN Agency for Health has reiterated its dedication to ensuring the security of its employees in the country in the Horn of Africa.
"We condemn all attacks on innocent civilians and humanitarian aid workers and offer our sincere condolences to the family members of everyone who was killed in this attack," the statement said.
