Manhunt Launched by South African Police for Suspect in Stone Killing of Girlfriend The South African Police Service (SAPS) has launched a search for a 34-year-old man who is accused of stoning his 23-year-old girlfriend and mother of his child to death.
The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Dzingidzingi village in Giyani, Limpopo. According to Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, a spokesperson for the Limpopo police, the victim was coming home from a local tavern with her friend when they met her ex-boyfriend, resulting in a confrontation before the suspect allegedly attacked her with a stone. Her friend sought help, and when she returned, the victim was unconscious and critically injured. She later died in the hospital.
The police have appealed for anyone with information on the suspect's whereabouts to contact the nearest police station, Crime Stop, or the investigating officer.
