Nigerian singer, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger stated that although he is grateful that his previous record company, Jonzing World, made him well-known, he was unable to extend his contract since the label did not promote his brand to the extent that he felt it should.
Recall that on February 6, 2024, Ruger departed Jonzing World after his contract expired.
He vented on X, on Thursday, accusing D'Prince, the head of his previous record company, of forsaking him and utilizing the money he made from his music to find new artists.
Ruger stated that he would like to talk more but that he is afraid of being stabbed if he shares more information regarding the record label.
He wrote, “As much as I’m very appreciative of the fact that Jonzing world introduced me to the world, I just couldn’t continue with them because they got too comfortable with the money they were making from me and couldn’t push me further as I wanted to be pushed. Was supposed to renegotiate the contract but I couldn’t imagine 5 years more without action.
“Dey use my money Dey fund new artist, leaving me in the dark, not being transparent. I just laugh. How are we now?
“Many things to talk but dem fit go wait for me for ikoyi link bridge stab me wotowoto.”
