NGO Solicits Health Investment For IDP Women

A Non-Governmental Organization - Stand With A Girl (SWAG) is requesting the Federal Government to increase funding for the health and welfare of women residing at Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps. 

Seyi Bolaji, the Communications strategist for the SWAG Initiative, made the call during a forum at  Wassa IDP Camp, to observe International Women's Day in 2024.

Seyi further introduced a creed, “invest in women,” to which the women responded, “Accelerate Progress,” in their local language.
She concluded by leading them in affirmations of self-worth and capability. 

In her introductory remarks, Hafsat Hamman thanked the attendees for their notable attendance, particularly those who showed up for rehearsals on short notice. 

She exhorted the women to take in and implement the knowledge they had learned at the conference into their everyday lives.
