The funeral arrangements for the late gospel singer, Aduke Ajayi, better known as Aduke Gold, have been made public by her stepbrother, Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo.
A snippet of an interview that was released on Wednesday showed Pastor Aderogbo talking about his strong friendship with the deceased musician.
He said, “I’m her elder brother and like a father to her because we share the same father but have different mothers. I began taking care of her in 1993 after the death of our father.”
He went on to share the family’s plans for her burial, saying: “We held a family meeting and decided that the burial would take place on the 23rd of August, with several outlined programmes. On the 21st, there will be a candlelight vigil.”
The news of Aduke Gold's passing was made public on Tuesday, August 13.
Esther Igbeke, a fellow gospel singer, posted a tribute on social media on Tuesday, sharing the news of Aduke Gold's passing along with the words, "A general has fallen. RIP."
