Dammy Krane Arrested Over Alleged Defamation Against Davido

Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane has been detained and will face criminal prosecution for making false allegations against his colleague Davido.

Dammy Krane had referred to Davido as a murderer just days before his wedding, stating that the DMW CEO was only marrying because Chioma discovered him cheating.

His most recent comment appears to have landed him into problems, as Davido's lawyer has given him 24 hours to retract all abusive postings about Davido on his social media accounts. He was also instructed not to publish any future defamatory statements about Davido on any platform or face legal action.

Dammy Krane, unconcerned about the lawsuit, went on to claim that he witnessed what Davido did to his friend Tagbo, who died.

He stated in a new post that he has been arrested and will face criminal prosecution for making defamatory allegations about the singer.

The singer revealed the news in various posts on X, adding that the police arrested him in response to a petition alleging that he is involved in a flutterwave and cryptocurrency scam, although he is aware that it is a hoax.

Davido and Dammy Krane have been at odds since the latter accused him of owing him money. In response, Davido emphasized his previous support for Dammy Krane, including providing him with accomodation when necessary. Dammy Krane, on the other hand, insisted that this assistance does not absolve him of any financial obligations.
