A seasoned actress in Nollywood, Shaffy Bello, has disclosed her disinterest in dating younger men, emphasizing that her priorities have evolved over time.
During an appearance on the Dear Ife series hosted by Ifedayo Agoro, Bello shared that while she has previously been in relationships with younger men, she now seeks a deeper and more significant connection.
“There’s no need to,” she stated when asked about considering younger partners again. “I’ve experienced it before.
What I desire now is different. Back then, it was just for fun; that phase is over. I am certain that what I want now is marriage,” Bello expressed.
In addition, she mentioned that she still receives attention from younger fans, particularly on social media, but it no longer influences her.
“I acknowledge it; it happens. I’m over 50, and young men are sliding into my DMs. It’s flattering, but many of them behave poorly. Some just say ‘Hi, dear’,” she remarked.
The veteran actress also indicated that she remains open to the idea of marriage, though she has a more nuanced perspective on it compared to conventional social standards.
“I don’t mind marriage, but I have a different view on the subject… Many people have very rigid beliefs regarding marriage,” she concluded.
