Breaking: Asuu Re-Elects Osodeke As National President

On Monday, May 22, members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities unanimously chose Professor Emmanuel Osodeke to serve as their national president once again.

Additionally, Chris Piwuna, a consultant psychiatrist and associate professor at the University of Jos' College of Medicine, was re-elected by the union's members as vice president.

They will be in office from 2023 until 2025.

During the 22nd National Delegates Conference of ASUU, held at the University of Jos in Plateau State between May 19 and 21, 2023, they were re-elected.

During the conference, the association's other National Officers were also re-elected, including the Treasurer, Prof. Siji Sowande; the Financial Secretary, Prof. Ade Adejumo; the Investment Secretary, Dr. Austen Sado; the Internal Auditor, Dr. Adamu Babayo; and the Welfare Secretary, Dr. Aisha Bawa, who took Dr. Stella-Maris Okey's place.
