A 4.7 degree earthquake has posed a great distress in New York City and the surrounding environment on Friday morning.
The earthquake which happened at the 10:20am occurred near Lebanon, New Jersey, 40 miles west of New York City.
Moments later, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported a 4.7-magnitude earthquake occurred near Whitehouse Station in New Jersey.
The impact was felt throughout the Tri-State Area. So far, there has been no report of damage, as an official statement is yet to be released as at press time.
The earthquake, according to New York City was reported to be around 4.7 miles deep.
