Nigerians who are trapped in Sudan can now be free of charge transported home by Air Peace, the country's largest domestic airline.
This is happening in light of the ongoing revolt in the nation of North-East Africa.
The airline said that those stuck in the war-torn country of Nigeria, including students, need our assistance.
Remember that the airline in 2019 deployed flights to evacuate Nigerians in South Africa during the heat of the xenophobic attack against Africans living in that country. A development that threatened the lives of Nigerians.
In spite of the fact that Sudan's airspace is off-limits to civil aviation, Air Peace Chairman Allen Onyema claimed that Nigerians may be evacuated to a neighboring nation.
In his own words: "Nigeria cannot afford to lose her citizens in that nation, thus I feel obligated to assist. Assuring the safety of the stranded Nigerians in the violent nation would be my personal responsibility.
"Nothing should be left up to the government alone, especially now that an urgent solution is required.
"Again, if the government can send Nigerians who are trapped in Sudan to a safe and secure airport in any of Sudan's surrounding neighbors, Air Peace is willing to transport them for free.
“Everything must not be left for government and government alone. It will be a privilege and honour of tremendous pride that we will be out there to give every Nigerian stranded in Sudan a sense of pride and oneness in their country.
"We are very prepared to get started right away. No time wasting. We support any action that will foster pride in one's country, a sense of unity, and peace. Again, despite some obstacles, we do not apologize for loving and believing in our country.
“If they are moved to Kenya or Uganda or any other country, we will move in to get them out. Some parents have started calling on us to help. We are ready to do this again and again.”
