The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has joined forces with the House of Representatives to enhance commerce and trade, and to stimulate economic growth and advancement in the nation.
The President of NACCIMA, Dele Kelvin Oye, engaged in discussions with the House Committee on Commerce, led by Hon. Ahmed Munir, during a stakeholders’ interactive meeting in Abuja.
This meeting began a series of conversations focused on driving the commerce and trade sector forward.
During the session, Munir outlined the Committee’s responsibilities, which include overseeing various government sectors such as industry, trade, and consumer protection.
He emphasized the current administration’s dedication to enacting and revising laws and policies crucial for the nation's economic revival, affirming that the Committee is committed to utilizing legislative tools to make a significant impact.
In addition, the President of NACCIMA introduced the association as Nigeria’s leading business network, advocating for policies that support economic prosperity.
He highlighted successful collaborations between governments and Chambers of Commerce in countries like Germany, Singapore, and the United States, which have played a key role in achieving high rankings on the Ease of Doing Business Index.
