Nollywood actor and lawyer, Kanayo O. Kanayo has issued a warning to Nollywood movie producers on the fast-rising actress Angel Unigwe.
In a video posted to his Instagram page, the veteran actor chastised the actress' mother for supposedly holding movie producers to ransom.
He claimed that he had heard rumours about her mother's behaviour but did not believe them until it happened to him.
According to him, he hired the actress for a future film and established an agreement with her mother, which she did not follow.
Kanayo warned movie producers not to cast the actress in any film or risk having their set disturbed by him.
He said: “I am making this video to protect the entertainment industry in Nigeria. A particular woman has been holding producers to ransom and it is unfortunate it has happened to me.
"Unfortunately, she is Angel Unigwe’s mother. A contract is breached by every producer, orally or written and it’s all respected but I found out that immediately this woman takes money from you, everything changes.
"She took her daughter at 9pm when the particular date that we agreed hasn’t expired. She came at 9pm and took her daughter."
