Seventy-three newborns have been delivered at the ongoing 72nd Annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

This was announced by the church’s General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, at the Holy Ghost Congress held at Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun State.

The RCCG began its annual August convention on Monday, 5 August 2024, and will climax on Sunday (today).

Thousands of worshippers joined the programme, with several overflows.

It was reliably gathered that over 18,068 worshippers joined the Friday Holy Ghost service from the church’s YouTube page, Dove TV.

Guest houses and hostels in Redemption City and its environs had already been fully booked by worshippers, according to several reports.

Adeboye, who announced the number of births, noted that, as of 6pm on Friday, the number of newborns had reached 73, with 39 boys and 34 girls.

He also noted that two sets of twins were part of the number.

According to him, “The number of children born during this convention by 6pm on Friday evening had increased to 73. We had another set of twins today. Now, we have a total of 39 boys and 34 girls.

In 2023, it was reported that 62 babies were delivered, with 31 being male and 31 being female.

In his message titled “Let There Be Light”, Adeboye asked worshippers to pray against any form of darkness in their lives and that of their families.
