Top 8 Contestants for ‘Karaoke Idols’ Nigeria 2 World’s First Edition Revealed!

The race to crown the first Global Karaoke idol gained momentum as the top eight (8) Nigerian national finalists were revealed as at two weeks ago. 

The countdown to the ultimate finals of the karaoke activity has officially begun as the grand finale is scheduled to take place at the Sailors Lounge on Admiralty Road, Lekki Phase 1, on Saturday, July 6 with kick off time fixed at 4.30pm.

After weeks of fierce competition and eliminations, the field has now been narrowed down to the most talented karaoke performers.

Each chapter along the entire series demonstrated the best in the contestants, who showcased their incredible vocals and stage character in a bid to impress the judges and secure for themselves a place in the finals.

The panel of judges for the grand finale comprises well acclaimed musical gurus with extensive experience in evaluating musical performances. 

They include David Attah, Slam Udoka, Evelle, Dezign and David Operah. 

This competition will be conducted under the watchful eyes of the ever charismatic hosts: Lola Adams, Marvel Bassey and Avincin.

The event with the theme, ‘Sing Loud, Shine Bright’, perfectly captures the essence of karaoke competitions as all the finalists demonstrated their ultimate best during the trial weeks to clinch coveted spots in the top 8.

Marvin, Anne, Dhamihilz, Dara, Edu, Ayda,Baristar and Doyin made the top 8 of the maiden edition of the Karaoke Idols Nigeria.

The Regional Director for Africa and the Country Director for Nigeria Karaoke Idols organization, Mr Ohio Giwa-Amu, in an interview with us, reiterated that the Karaoke ldols is to pay out the sum of at least N1 million to the winner while the second position will walk home with the sum of N600,000 and the third place with N400, 000 respectively.

The final competition will witness a manner of voting for a Public Opinion Contestant. 

During the final competition, members of the audience and the general public will be encouraged to vote for their favourite contestants.
