The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral ties and promote economic growth between the two countries.
During a visit to Shenzhen, the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Adewale Adeniyi, emphasized the importance of establishing a strong relationship with China to improve import-export operations and support Nigerian MSMEs.
CGC Adeniyi thanked Vice Minister Wang Lingjun for expressing interest in signing the MoU with the NCS and acknowledged the significant growth of e-commerce, stating that many Nigerian companies and SMEs benefit from these opportunities.
He expressed confidence that the MoU will play a crucial role in enhancing security and trade cooperation between the two customs agencies, creating a collaborative mechanism to improve supply chain security standards and promote economic stability for both nations.
