The Champions League played on November 7, 2023, saw a lot of events, some shocking and others as expected.

Erling Haaland scored twice as Manchester City cruised into the last 16 of the Champions League with two group games remaining after a 3-0 victory over Swiss side Young Boys on Tuesday.

Pep Guardiola's side maintained their 100% record and lead Group G with 12 points from four games.

Young Boys, who were reduced to 10 men when Sandro Lauper was shown a red card in the 53rd minute, are fourth in the group with one point.

In Group F, Olivier Giroud secures AC Milan 2-1 win against Mbappe's side, PSG, in a Champions League game.

Stefano Pioli's team started the day bottom of Group F but are now well in contention for the knockout stages, third on five points and just one behind PSG, who occupy the second qualification spot.

Newcastle suffered another major loss at the hands of the German side, Borussia Dortmund.

Shakhtar Donetsk delayed Barcelona’s hopes of reaching the Champions League knockout stages after claiming a shock 1-0 win in their Group H clash in Hamburg.

Danylo Sikan headed the only goal in the 40th minute from a cross by Giorgi Gocholeishvili.
