While Barcelona players were celebrating their LaLiga championship win on Sunday, Espanyol supporters attacked them.
The crowd invaded the field and started running at them, forcing them to flee into the changing room.
To protect the players and the club's officials, security personnel stepped in right away.
To stop the supporters from chasing after the players, riot cops had to stand in front of the tunnel's entrance with shields.
Before dispersing without more disturbances, the fans tossed chairs and other objects.
Espanyol has now expressed regret for the event.
"Violence must always be condemned in all facets of life.
Espanyol coach Luis Garca remarked, "Everything was done to try and prevent this from happening but it wasn't possible."
Barcelona's 4-2 victory in the Derby helped them win their first league championship since 2019.
