Tajudeen Abbas, Speaker of the House of Representatives, has established seven special committees to facilitate the coordination of legislative activity.
On Thursday in Abuja, the speaker announced the special committees' formation.
They are the Internal Security Committee, chaired by Rep. Mohammed Danjuma, the Selection Committee, led by the speaker himself, and the Media Committee, to be led by Rep. Buka Ibrahim (APC-Yobe).
Others include the Rules and Business Committee, which will be led by Rep. Igariwey Iduma (PDP-Ebonyi), and the Legislative Agenda Committee, which will be presided over by Prof. Julius Ihonbvare (APC-Edo).
Additionally, he proposed the creation of two committees: the Ethics and Privileges Committee, which would be chaired by Rep. Tunji Olawuyi (APC-Kwara), and the Welfare Committee, which would be led by Rep. Wale Raji (APC-Lagos).
