Germany is set to receive a 1 billion euro ($1.07 billion) economic boost from foreign tourists visiting for Euro 2024, according to the ifo institute.
This is equivalent to about 0.1% of the country's economic output in the second quarter.
The hospitality and food retail sectors are expected to benefit the most from the games.
However, this effect is short-lived, and exports of services due to returning tourists are likely to decline after the championship.
The institute predicts over 600,000 additional foreign tourists and 1.5 million extra overnight stays during the tournament.
The German Economy Ministry also anticipates a temporary increase in consumer-facing sectors, but not as significant as during the 2006 World Cup.
Additionally, the overall impact of Euro 2024 on Germany's economy will be influenced by the performance of the German national team in the tournament.
Their match against Scotland will mark the start of the tournament on Friday evening.
