Peter Welch, the first Democratic senator has publicly called on US President Joe Biden to step down from the presidential race as concerns rise over his age and fitness to run another tenure.
Welch, who said this in an opinion piece in the Washington Post stressed that, “For the good of the country, I’m calling on President Biden to withdraw from the race.”
Biden in recent times has been faced with series of word attack on his health and the need to stepdown from the race after the CNN public debate with his opponent, Donald Trump.
