In a stirring statement published on Sunday, actor Jon Voight vowed that former president Donald Trump would persevere through his current difficulties and "save this nation" in 2024.
Voight made the announcement via a statement on his social media channels, denouncing Trump's "cruel" indictment by a New York grand jury looking into the hush money payment to adult entertainer Stormy Daniels.
He started by reflecting on the state of the nation at the time, recalling the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and the influx of gun violence brought on by a mental health crisis.
He immediately changed the subject, however, to President Joe Biden's performance and the ongoing investigations into Donald Trump.
"The Biden government gives our country a false sense of security. This is a joke. It's a shame," said Voight.
He continued, "We must all vote in 2024 for the only president who can take this nation, remove the filth, the grime, and the lies, and make this nation what it was intended to be—the greatest nation.
"We, the people, must see this lie that they have brought upon President Trump," Voight further exhorted.
"An accusation. This vicious purpose. It's a falsehood. The performer emphasized that it was important to remember [former President Bill] Clinton's real affair and the fact that no other president had ever experienced such cruelty."
The speaker continued, "The 45th president of the United States shall save this country from the barbaric left insanity, and we, the people, shall help — with our truths and prayers." "Let's all restore faith."
Voight insisted that only Trump "will restore this land to her beauty where she will stand proud and hold the torch up for freedom — freedom of the people,… the American Dream."
One day before Trump was scheduled to appear in New York City for his impending arraignment on approximately 30 charges of document fraud, the Manhattan district attorney's office made his remarks.
