Parts of Accra experienced a moderate earth tremor on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at about 7:20 am.
The tremor lasted for a few seconds and its magnitude is yet to be determined.
Residents in Ashongman Estates and Abelemkpe have confirmed that they felt the tremor. Several people who experienced the quake have taken to social media to recount their experience.
One Twitter user, @GTV_Ghana, asked: "Earth Tremor in Accra? Did you also feel the ground shake? Which part of Accra did you experience it?"
Responding, a Twitter user, @efya_queenstar indicated: Twice here. Another, @EdmondKwesi said; "Yeah I Did. In Dome whilst in church for first service".
Others confirming the tremor said;
So far, no incidents of injuries or property damage have been reported.
The Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGSA) have not made any comment on the incident.

- If you are indoors, drop to the ground, take cover under a sturdy table or desk, and hold on until the shaking stops.
- If you are outdoors, move away from buildings, trees, and power lines.
- If you are driving, pull over to the side of the road and stop until the shaking stops.
