Nigerian Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke aka Davdo is facing harsh criticism from fans after they experienced huge financial losses after investing in his $DAVIDO Meme coins.
The artist launched the cryptocurrency, which runs on Solana's blockchain platform, but its value plunged immediately after fans made significant investments.
The abrupt drop in value caused supporters to lose a significant amount of money, with one investor tweeting a photo of their account showing a loss of more than 86% of their initial investment of $150, leaving them with only $20.
This has led to an outpouring of anger and disappointment on social media platforms, with many fans accusing Davido of fraudulent acts and expressing regret for trusting him and investing in the cryptocurrency.
