A recent incident at the Comfort Suites West Indianapolis - Brownsburg has raised serious concerns about the hotel's emergency response protocols after an employee became trapped in an elevator for nearly an hour.
According to a concerned citizen who wishes to remain anonymous, the employee, trapped between floors on January 6th between 3:45 and 4:35 PM Eastern Time, repeatedly attempted to alert hotel staff using the in-elevator emergency call button and alarm.
However, the source claims their calls went unanswered, leaving the employee in a potentially dangerous situation.
"It was a 'die-die situation,'" the source told Rocketparrot News, emphasizing the gravity of the incident. "Without a personal cell phone, things could have gone much worse."
Frustrated by the lack of response from the hotel staff, the concerned citizen took matters into their own hands.
They drove to the hotel and called 911, prompting the prompt arrival of the Brownsburg fire department who safely rescued the trapped employee.
The incident has sparked significant concerns about the hotel's emergency preparedness.
The source criticizes the hotel's staff training and the functionality of its emergency equipment.
"This could have been much worse," the source stated. "Hotels need to take their emergency protocols seriously and ensure their staff are equipped to respond effectively in any situation. This is a wake-up call for the entire hospitality industry."
