The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan, On Friday, mentioned that the civil service is currently undergoing substantial reforms with the goal of improving efficiency and effectiveness.
She stated that the reforms, which involve the implementation of new technologies, have reached a crucial stage.
Yemi-Esan made these remarks at the Jumat service held as part of the activities to mark the civil service week in Abuja.
She was represented by Dr. Sanni Gwarzo, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Police Affairs, who expressed that Nigerians will soon witness the emergence of a digital civil service.
She mentioned, "Indeed, this year we are hosting a special event that brings with it numerous blessings. One of them being the significant strides taken by the civil service in its reform efforts, and I am pleased to announce that we have reached a crucial stage in this process.
It is an opportune moment to commemorate the achievements we have made thus far. Additionally, the civil service reform has been realigned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President, the Head of Service of the Federation."

Yemi-Esan mentioned that a group was sent to study the civil service system in Singapore, and she added that the country was making good progress in its reform efforts.
She expressed, "Nigeria is fortunate. The civil service is undergoing reform, and we are prepared to support the President's Renewed Hope Agenda.
"Not only that, in recent years, many of Nigeria's senior civil servants have traveled internationally to observe civil service operations in various countries.
"Most recently, a delegation returned from Singapore after studying their system. We have observed numerous systems, and I can confidently say that we are making significant progress in our reform efforts."
