Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak disclosed on Thursday that the timeline and expenses for the construction of the ambitious Power of Siberia 2 mega pipeline, designed to transport Russian natural gas to China, hinge upon the signing of binding agreements between Moscow and Beijing.
Novak also indicated that thorough technical and economic assessments have been conducted, alongside evaluations of the resource base and preliminary technological specifications for the new pipeline.
The anticipated Power of Siberia 2 project is poised to facilitate the annual delivery of up to 50 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas from Russia's Yamal Region in the north to China, traversing Mongolia.
