Palton Morgan Holdings, a prominent real estate developer and investor specializing in luxury properties, has teamed up with MedPlus, a local healthcare provider, to offer complimentary health examinations for construction workers.
In a statement released in Lagos over the weekend, the construction company's management revealed that the collaboration is intended to deliver free health screenings and medical assessments for all construction workers at their Paramount Twin Towers site.
The goal is to promote a proactive approach to healthcare and to identify any potential health issues at an early stage.
The recent health checks and screenings were attended by over 60 construction workers and Platon Morgan's in-house engineers, along with Peter Raven, the company's Director of Project and Construction Management, and other key team members.
A significant aspect of the event was an informative health talk given by Mr. Agdeoye Oyerinde, a representative of Medplus Pharmacy.
He discussed the importance of each medical screening and the benefits of understanding one's current health status. Other pharmacists supported him in screening, providing consultation, reviewing results, and treating the workers.
The screenings included checking the workers' essential health metrics such as blood pressure, visceral fat, blood sugar, muscle mass, malaria tests, and BMI measurements.
Furthermore, the workers received personalized counseling on adopting healthy lifestyle practices and nutrition tailored to their job requirements.
It was emphasized that the partnership between Palton Morgan and MedPlus demonstrates their commitment to corporate social responsibility in action, extending beyond just constructing projects to nurturing a healthier and happier workforce.
As construction projects reach new heights, so does the well-being of the workers, leaving a lasting legacy of care and compassion that resonates with the city and its people.
