Governor Seyi Makinde

IBADAN- The Oyo State government has transitioned 1,591 ad-hoc workers in local government across the state to permanent positions.

It is noteworthy that Governor Seyi Makinde approved this conversion for the ad-hoc staff serving the 33 local government councils in the state last October to address the workforce shortfall at the local government level.

In line with the governor’s commitment, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Ademola Ojo, announced on Friday that the appointment letters are now ready for collection.

The commissioner emphasized that the employment process was thoroughly followed and finalized properly.

He encouraged the successful candidates to pick up their appointment letters at the Local Government Service Commission from Monday, February 3 to Thursday, February 6, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM each day.

Hon. Ojo also mentioned that collecting appointment letters through a proxy is not permitted.

He congratulated the successful candidates and wished them all the best in their new positions.
