Google Nigeria has partnered with the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Lagos State chapter, to train selected members across its chapels on leveraging Generative AI and digital skills for storytelling and creating content.
This is in line with the recognition of the rapid changes in the digital world with the transformative role AI is poised to play especially in the media space,
Participants at the training held on Wednesday at its Ikoyi office, were exposed to understanding AI concepts and its applications in Media.
Also, using AI for content creation and storytelling as the participants learnt how to send AI on a mission to get positive results in order to enrich their stories.
In her remarks, the Vice Chairperson, NAWOJ, Lagos, Comrade Bunmi Yekini said the association prioritises development and upskilling of her members, noting that opportunities like the Google-led training for members was a welcomed one.
She stated:“The training exposed our members to both existing and new tools available on Google. It is interesting to know how much tools such as Google lens, and Google photos can do.
“Then the Gemini Era where you have the ‘Gemini Search’, ‘Circle to Search’ and other new tools that would not just make your job easy but also give you the power to be more imaginative and creative.”
