Mic Daviz Set to Launch Talk Show, Film Institute

Award winning filmmaker and music video director, Arowolo Dare David popularly known in the entertainment industry as Mic Daviz is preparing to launch a highly anticipated discussion show, "Just a Lil Xtra," as well as an innovative film institute dedicated to developing the next generation of Nigerian filmmakers.

Mic Daviz has firmly established himself as a creative powerhouse after creating some of the industry's most visually appealing music videos for over a decade. His work has received millions of views and countless honors, including a coveted award from the IGen Film Festival on October 11, 2022, for his short film "The Wrong Turn."

Mic Daviz plans to launch his talk program, "Just a Lil Xtra," to the general public in December 2024. The show, which has already aired 21 episodes, promises to provide viewers with an educational and fascinating look into the world of entertainment, with honest interviews and debates centered on the lives and careers of well-known personalities.

Mic Daviz also revealed that he is currently planning to open a film institute in Nigeria to train young filmmakers. According to Daviz, the institute will focus on teaching the fundamentals of film production, equipping students with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the competitive filmmaking industry.

Reflecting on his career and upcoming projects, Mic Daviz remarked, “I’ve been fortunate to work on projects that have resonated with audiences, and now I want to share what I’ve learned with others. The launch of ‘Just a Lil Xtra’ and the film institute is my way of giving back and helping to shape the future of filmmaking in Nigeria.”

Mic Daviz has directed popular music videos for artists like Qdot ft. Zlatan in “Olopa,” Oritse Femi ft. Portable in “Oro Aje,” Mustee ft. Laycon in “Lobe,” and Pusama Wonder ft. Qdot in “Omo Ologo.”
