Nollywood Actress, Iyabo Ojo has decried the rising fatality rate in the Nigerian film industry- NOLLYWOOD.
The actress took to Instagram to express her sadness at the losses. In her article, Iyabo expressed how upsetting and heartbreaking the news of Junior Pope's death was.
Nollywood was plunged into sadness on April 10th, following the death of Nollywood legend Junior Pope.
The talented actor died in a boating accident, which caused a great deal of anguish in the profession.
At the end of her essay, Iyabo Ojo mentioned the frightening rate at which performers were dying in the Nigerian industry, and her assessment may be correct.
Within four months of being in 2024, Nollywood announced the death of at least four actors who had all made their mark in the movie industry.
In March, Nollywood lost John Okafor, also known as Mr Ibu, and later that month, Amaechi Muonagor also died from illness, just like Mr Ibu.
