U.S. President Joe Biden's personal physician, Kevin O'Connor, stated on Tuesday that the president had not consulted a neurologist outside of his annual physical examination.
This comes in response to media reports about a Parkinson's specialist visiting the White House multiple times.
O'Connor clarified that neurological specialist Dr Cannard has examined President Biden during his annual physicals and that Biden has not seen a neurologist outside of these appointments. Cannard has been visiting the White House for twelve years and was not chosen for his expertise in movement disorders.
The results of the neurological examinations have been made public, showing no indications of strokes or Parkinson's disease, and no tremors in the president.
Despite increasing questions about his mental fitness, Biden has rejected doubts and refuses to take a cognitive health test.
