Terrorists Release 4 Of 11 Remaining Kidnapped Students In Kebbi State

Four of the remaining 11 Federal Government College students who were abducted in Birnin Yauri, Kebbi State, have been freed.

Following the payment of an undisclosed ransom, purportedly in the millions, infamous bandit Dogo Gide released them and two babies.

Before the remaining females could be released, the state authorities had to satisfy a number of requirements set forth by the drug lord.

According to PRNigeria, two of the teenaged prisoners who were later freed brought their newborn children with them.

The victims' parents implored Nigerians to help gather money to free the girls in January. They were among at least 100 taken in June 2021.

The abductors had wanted N100 million for the teenagers, who ranged in age from 12 to 16, according to an open letter signed by Salim Ka'oje and Daniel Alkali.

The Kebbi authorities allegedly refused to comply with the demands made by the detainees, which prompted the urgent public appeal.
