Police Apologize to DJ Switch, Confirm Arrest of DJ Commissioner Wysei

Ben Hundeyin, the state PRO of Lagos, on behalf of the Nigerian police force, has finally provided clarification regarding a widely circulated claim concerning well-known disc jockey DJ Switch.

On Thursday, April 18, 2024, earlier today, news of DJ Switch's arrest went viral. The well-known DJ jockey refuted the allegation on social media shortly after it was published, stating that it was untrue and that she wasn't in the Nigerian police's custody.

The Lagos State Police Force PRO apologized for the false information on his X handle following DJ Switch's response.

He expressed his regret to DJ Switch and acknowledged his part in the confusion. He continued by stating that Commissioner Wysei, not Switch, was the disc jockey who had been detained.

Ben Hundeyin wrote: “There is a mixup from our end. The arrested person is DJ Commissioner Wysei, not DJ Switch.

Apologies for all inconvenience to a few media outfits like Lindaikeji, BBC and TVC that I gave confirmation this morning. Apologies to DJ Switch too.”
