The continuation of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board's ongoing Direct Entry, DE enrollment has been delayed until after the 2023 national census exercise.
The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, and the national census exercise scheduled for May 3–5, 2023, were both postponed, according to a statement released on Sunday by the board's head of public affairs and protocol, Fabian Benjamin. The Direct Entry registration, which was supposed to end in April, would now continue on May 6.
The Board further instructed all applicants who wanted to register for the DE exercise to get their DE ePINs from authorized vending locations by the registration deadline of April 30. And visit the Board's offices between May 6 and May 13 to finish the registration process.
Assuring applicants who want to register for DE that no one will be turned away if they follow the Board's rules and do so within the allotted time frame. However, as it implements various cutting-edge methods to reduce the likelihood of falsifying results, data, and other transgressions, the Board demands candidates for their understanding.
