The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has scheduled the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up for Saturday, June 28.
According to the examination authority, 96,838 candidates will participate in this event at 183 centers nationwide. Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Public Communications Advisor for JAMB, made this announcement in a statement released on Sunday.
The communication indicated that the rescheduled exams would include 5,096 spill-over candidates, those who did not pass biometric verification during the original exam, and 91,742 candidates who were absent from either or both the primary and resit exams.
Dr. Benjamin advised eligible candidates to print their examination notification slips beginning Monday, June 23, 2025.
JAMB has recommended penalties for 11 CBT centers and registrants due to fingerprint issues and is taking action against 11 centers involved in exam fraud.
The spokesperson revealed that 113 CBT centers have either been suspended or delisted.
Additionally, many centers were suspended due to technical failures during the mock, UTME, and resit exams.
Several CBT centers implicated in fraudulent activities as part of an ongoing security investigation are facing penalties, and those found guilty will be delisted and referred for legal action.
Therefore, 113 CBT centers have been suspended or delisted nationwide. Some centers are noted for having multiple infractions related to the main or resit examinations.
Due to the investigation, some examination towns are no longer approved for the mop-up exams. Candidates affected by the deactivation of their examination towns will be reassigned to the nearest available towns.
The statement concluded by asking for the understanding of these candidates.
