The Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Emomotimi Agama, has encouraged capital market operators to prioritize investor education in order to promote the growth and advancement of Nigeria’s capital market.
In a statement released on Thursday, Agama emphasised the importance of knowledge in the capital market, stating that continuous education is essential.
He also expressed the commission's commitment to collaborating with stakeholders to provide more learning opportunities through training and sensitisation.
Agama also highlighted the significance of decisions on cases in contributing to market confidence and overall growth.
The Chairman of the Investments and Securities Tribunal, Amos Azi, echoed the importance of investor confidence and emphasized the tribunal's impact on dispute resolution in the Nigerian capital market.
Azi also highlighted the tribunal's international recognition and its role in boosting the market.
