Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin have entered into alliance to boost ties and fortify their nations’ forced in the face of global challenges.
Both president engaged in talks with a commitment l to strengthen ties between their nations, with China affirming its unwavering support for Russia.
According to reports from Chinese state media, President Xi assured Putin of China’s steadfast commitment to being a reliable ally to Russia, emphasising the importance of cherishing and nurturing their hard-earned relationship.
The discussions, held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, covered a wide range of topics including Ukraine, Asia, energy, and trade.
The meeting holds particular significance against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Putin’s visit to China comes amidst escalating tensions with the West, signaling his prioritisation of strategic alliances and highlighting the depth of his bond with Xi, who is seen as his most influential political ally.
Both leaders underscored the stabilising role of their cooperation, emphasizing that their partnership is not directed against any other nation. Putin, speaking to Xi, stressed the significance of their relationship as a counterbalance to global dynamics.
Prior to the meeting, Putin lauded Xi for his role in fostering a “strategic partnership” between their countries, built on mutual interests and trust.
