ABUJA (Rocketparrot NEWS) — Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for delivering on its Renewed Hope Agenda (RHA), emphasizing its focus on inclusive governance. During an inspection of the nearly completed Saburi-Dei-Dei Road on Tuesday, Wike celebrated the administration’s commitment to infrastructure, transparency, security, and public welfare.
“When you talk about good governance, it encompasses infrastructure, education, and security. These are the pillars of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” Wike said, addressing residents who gathered to witness the progress.
The Saburi-Dei-Dei Road project, awarded in February to Lubrik Construction Company, is expected to be completed in December. Wike expressed satisfaction with the pace of work and the positive reception from the community. “The happiness of the people shows they recognize the value of what we are doing. That’s the ultimate goal meeting their needs and fulfilling our promises,” he stated.
Beyond infrastructure, Wike highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen security and tackle social issues, including the clampdown on illegal activities disguised as begging. He noted that a combined security team is working relentlessly to maintain order and ensure the city remains clean and safe.
Wike also revealed that the procurement for another major project, the 17-kilometer Life Camp-Dei-Dei Road, is in advanced stages. “We are at 80% completion of the procurement process. Once the Bureau for Public Procurement issues the certificate of no objection, we’ll seek Federal Executive Council approval to proceed,” he said.
The minister reiterated his commitment to making Abuja a model city, aligning with Tinubu’s vision of a renewed Nigeria.
