Wife Allegedly Kills Husband Over Infidelity Scandal in Ondo

A house wife, simply identified as Omodara Oluwakemi, has allegedly killed her husband,  Seidu Jamiu, in Akungba, Akoko, Akoko South-West Local Government Area of Ondo State, over alleged infidelity scadal.

Rocketparrot News leanrt that Oluwakemi reportedly battered the victim’s head with a pestle while asleep at night.

Following the devastating incident, the wife rushed to a near-by police station to report that her husband died in his sleep, according to police sources who confirmed the incident.

An eyewitness revealed that the couples have been on each other's neck, with frequent told quarrelling over the victim’s extramarital affairs lifestyle.

It was learned that after the suspect rushed to the police station, their neighbours who had the distressed cry of the victim rushed him to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

A community leader, who spoke on condition of anonymity said,  the couples have been having a running battle over the deceased’s extramarital affairs of late.

According to him, “After the wife smashed the husband’s head with a pestle, she rushed to the police station to report that the husband had died.

“The victim was rushed to the hospital but he couldn’t make it as doctors confirmed him dead on arrival.”

He added that the elders from Ibaka community of Akungba and the Seriki Musulumi of the town, have been informed of the incident.

When contacted, the spokesperson for the state police command, Funmi Odunlami, said the wife of the deceased, Omolara, reported the incident at the police station in Akungba Akoko.

Odunlami said she could not confirm the allegation that the wife killed the deceased, noting that the wife was the complainant of the incident.

Accrding to her, “I can’t confirm that the victim’s wife killed him because it was the woman that reported the matter at police station. We have not made any arrest now but investigation had begun into the incident.”
