Funke Akindele, a well-known Nollywood actress who has transitioned into politics, has talked about why she abruptly stopped using Twitter after losing the governorship polls.
Remember that after the election, Funke Akindele, who served as Abdulazeez Adediran's running partner for governor of Lagos State in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), erased all the political messages that had been uploaded on her social media accounts.
The All Progressives Congress(APC), led by the current governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, beat the main opposition party, the PDP, in the March 18, 2023, gubernatorial elections.
Funke was asked by fan @apexproperties2 why she wasn't using the app.
"Madam Funke, I cite you," the follower @apexproperties2 wrote. Longest time, did you flee from us, or what happened?
Funke replied, "Dem too dey insult people on this app, so I stay off."
Another user @Odun_is_my_name inquired in the comments section about Akindele's fear of the people in a similar vein.
"Are you afraid of people?" wrote @Odun_is_my_name."
"No, I'm not afraid," Funke retorted. "I'm just being cautious here."
