Messaging giant WhatsApp is developing a new privacy feature that will allow users to control who can use their avatar in sticker creations.
This feature, spotted in the latest iOS beta update (version 24.6.10.74), is currently under development and will be available in a future update.
The upcoming feature will provide users with three distinct privacy options:
My Contacts: Anyone from your contact list can use your avatar in their stickers.
*Selected Contacts: Only users you specifically choose from your contacts can use your avatar in stickers.
Nobody: Disables the feature entirely, preventing anyone from using your avatar in stickers.
This level of control empowers users to manage their digital persona on WhatsApp. They can choose to allow everyone, a select few, or no one to utilize their avatar in sticker creations.
According to WhatsApp, the ability to control who can use your avatar in stickers is designed to enhance user experience in two ways:
Increased Personalization: Users can personalize their communication by creating and sharing avatar stickers with approved contacts.
Improved Security: Users have more control over their digital identity by managing who can access and utilize their avatar.
The introduction of this privacy feature aligns with WhatsApp's commitment to user privacy and fostering a secure communication platform.
By empowering users with control over their avatars, WhatsApp aims to build trust and encourage a more personalized messaging experience.
While the exact release date for this feature remains unknown, WhatsApp has assured users of continued updates as development progresses.
